Get feedback and editorial guidance on the first few chapters of your manuscript, plus an hour-long consultation from one of The Writers Circle's author-instructors. At The Writers Circle, our instructors are all published writers who know the challenge of getting a work polished for submission and publication. We have specialists in virtually every genre and style of creative writing, from short stories and novels to memoir, poetry and more. We'll give you an evaluation of your writing style and technique, overall concept, initial impact, market hooks, and suggested next steps. While no one can guarantee that your writing will sell in an extremely competitive marketplace, we'll do our very best to set you in the right direction. 

Prior to purchase, please use our Contact Form to send us a brief synopsis, how far you've gotten in your work, and what you hope to achieve by working with TWC on your project. We need to learn a bit about your project and creative circumstances in order to pair you with the very best author/instructor to address your personal and professional needs.  Once you've been assigned an editor/instructor, select them from the list below.

This introductory package includes:

CHAPTER REVIEW: Your editor will review the first 10,000 words of your manuscript.

  • Formatting and delivery:
    • Please prepare your pages using standard publishing format:  12 pt. Times Roman font, double-spaced, and 1 inch margins.
    • Deliver your pages via email directly to your editor who will be in touch soon after you've made payment.
    • Word documents are preferred.  GoogleDocs are acceptable.  We cannot work with PDF or Pages formatted files.
      • Editors cannot review your chapters without correct formatting and delivery.  Please do not send hard-copy pages.

ONE-HOUR CONSULTATION: Your editor will meet with you either in person, on the phone, or via video chat to review your manuscript and discuss its merits, opportunities, challenges and next steps. This time may also be used to discuss marketing strategy, agents, publishing, etc.
