In reply to cregarconsulting. Lorraine, my pleasure to share. In fact, before I got published, I rarely told anybody that I was writing at all. It was too awkward to share the difficult journey that only other writers truly understood. We all feel like frauds as we struggle to untangle our imaginings. Hopefully we'll both find our way!

Judith, this really resonates with me. Every time my husband mentions to a friend or neighbor that I’m writing a novel, they immediately want to know details, and I often do have an answer for them. So I’ve felt like a fraud. But really, it’s just because I’m not sure I’ve completely discovered the story yet. Even this past week I realized that my story is a bit more complex than I ever imagined it to be.
