Lisa, you’re absolutely right. In essence, you do your marketing while you’re still writing and even when you’re just beginning to create your work. In fact, that’s some of what the next post gets into. You’ve got a bit of ESP!

I’d also add that writers can’t wait until the book is nearly done to be active in marketing activities. Starting a good six months before the book is published is an ideal time frame — further ahead if you can manage it.
